Astrophotography – and astronomy in general – is one of the most humbling and profound hobbies one can pursue. Part science, part art, part timing and part luck, the pursuit of astrophotography challenges us and forces us to grow as amateur scientists, artists, and as people.
As daunting as it can be rewarding, astrophotography has a learning curve like Mt Everest, and it is very easy to mis-step, make mistakes, or bang your head against the wall in frustration, and give up hope of capturing the kind of astrophotographs you aspire to. I know, I’ve been there.
That’s why I started Nebularama – to share with you the ups and downs of a journey into astrophotography, but most importantly to share the knowledge I have gained – and I am gaining – that can help untangle the complicated web of information, and give you the building blocks to start constructing your own pursuit in astrophotography. Come along with me for the journey.
